How do I change a coach's pay rate?

On the Coaches tab, find the coach's row, pick a Rate Type (Flat Fee, Per Hour, Per Game), then type the amount in the Rate box. It saves by itself a second after you stop typing and Stipend $ updates. Or ask Teddy: "Offer Ryan Wellner $1,200 flat" for one coach, or "Set coach pay to $500" for everyone.

Where:

Events → select the event → Coaches tab.

Steps (one coach)

  • Find the coach (use the search or filters).
  • In their row choose Rate Type. If you don't see the Rate Type column, open Columns and turn it on.
  • Type the amount in Rate. A green flash and "Rate amount updated successfully!" means it saved.
  • A small badge appears next to the rate: BELOW / AVERAGE / ABOVE compared with what this coach (or your market) usually gets. It's advice only (see C-11).

Steps (many coaches at once)

  • Tick the boxes next to the coaches.
  • Bulk Update → Update Stipend $.
  • Choose Rate Type, enter the Rate, click Confirm.

With Teddy

  • One coach: "Offer Mark Miller $800 flat fee" (Teddy sets the rate and sends the offer text).
  • A whole role: "Set official pay to $75 per game" or "Set event pay to $100 flat fee." Teddy asks you to confirm.
  • Not sure what to pay? "How much should I pay Mark Miller?" Teddy looks up their pay history and suggests a range.

Good to know

  • A coach must have a Rate Type and a Rate before you can send them an offer. The Status dropdown won't let you choose Send Offer without both.
  • Changing a rate after an offer was sent saves the new rate, but the coach isn't told. Resend the offer (the paper-plane icon next to their name) or email them so they know. See C-17.
  • Officials work differently: Per Game is the default and Stipend $ = rate × games assigned. If you're staffing officials, you can set one universal per-game rate for every official on the event: Officials tab → ⚙ Event Settings → enter the rate → Apply to All Officials. See O-13.
