How do I "run it back" and re-create last year's event for this year?
Teddy can do this ✓operatordirectorLast verified Oct 2, 2026
Open last year's event from the event dropdown and tell Teddy "Run it back." He pre-fills a new event with everything on file: name, location, complexes, type, sport, stipend settings, budget, coaches needed, description, logo, field map, asks you for the new dates and anything that's changing, then creates it after you confirm.
Steps
- Events → open the dropdown → pick last year's event (it lists events from the last 18 months).
- In the Teddy panel say "Run it back."
- Teddy shows the pre-filled summary and asks: "What's changing for the new edition? I need the new dates at minimum."
- Reply with the dates (and anything else, for example "budget is $25,000 and we need 30 coaches"). Say "just the dates" to carry everything else over.
- Teddy shows the final summary. Click Confirm. The new event is created.
Good to know
- On the Events page you can also click Run it back on last year's event card.
- From the homepage you can say "Run back the 2026 Southern All-Stars" without opening it first.
- Shifts are not copied. Open Manage shifts on the new event and add them, or set the times in Edit this event (E-05).
- Coaches and staff are not carried over. Publish the new event to the marketplace and they can register interest again. Reminders and offers go out per event.
- Run it back links the new event to the old one, which is what lets Teddy compare to last year (churn, coach counts).
