How do I tell Teddy when I'm available to work?

When your assignor requests officials for an upcoming event, Teddy texts you asking which days you can work. Reply with a number for each day, or just describe your week in plain English; Teddy figures out what you mean either way.

Where:

Text replies to Teddy's availability request.

If the event has more than one location, Teddy first asks which location(s) you can cover.

Then Teddy asks about each event day, one at a time. Reply with a number:

Reply Means
1 Morning only (up to noon)
2 Afternoon only (after noon)
3 Evening (after 5 pm)
4 Any time that day
5 Not available

Don't worry about getting the format exactly right. You can reply in plain English instead, "mornings all weekend," "any time the 14th and 15th but not the 16th," even a full sentence describing your week. Teddy reads it, figures out what you mean, and, for anything beyond a plain "1" through "5," reads it back to you before saving it:

Here's what I have for Spring Classic Tournament:

Fri, Apr 10: Evening Sat, Apr 11: All Day

Reply YES to confirm, or tell me what to change.

If something's wrong, just tell Teddy what to fix; you don't have to start over. Say "Saturday should be evening, not all day" and Teddy updates just that one day and reads it back again.

If Teddy doesn't understand a reply, it'll ask again rather than guess; you'll never be left hanging with no response.

Good to know

  • Missed the request or need to update it later? Text AVAILABILITY any time and Teddy pulls the request back up.
