What is Teddy, and how will I hear from my assignor?
Teddy is Tourney Direct's text assistant. If you officiate for an event that uses Tourney Direct, Teddy is how you'll hear from your assignor: asking when you're available, sending your game assignments, and reminding you to check in on game day. Everything happens over regular text message. There's nothing to download and no app to log into unless you want to.
How do I tell Teddy when I'm available to work?
When your assignor requests officials for an upcoming event, Teddy texts you asking which days you can work. Reply with a number for each day, or just describe your week in plain English; Teddy figures out what you mean either way.
How do I accept or decline my game assignments?
Teddy texts you the games you were assigned. Reply 1 to accept all of them, 2 to decline all of them, or tell Teddy which games you can or can't work.
How do I check in on game day?
Teddy texts you a check-in link automatically, about 30 minutes before your first game each day. Tap it when you arrive, then tap Confirm Check-In.
Can I ask Teddy things directly, without waiting for a text?
Yes. You don't have to wait for Teddy to text you first; you can ask Teddy things directly, any time.
What are the texting shortcuts I can use with Teddy?
A quick reference for what to text Teddy and what it does.
I'm having trouble with a text from Teddy, what should I check?
Most issues come down to your phone number being out of date, a reply that was too ambiguous for Teddy to parse, or a check-in link that didn't open. Your assignor can fix most of these directly.
