I'm having trouble with a text from Teddy, what should I check?

Most issues come down to your phone number being out of date, a reply that was too ambiguous for Teddy to parse, or a check-in link that didn't open. Your assignor can fix most of these directly.

I never got a text asking for my availability.

A few common reasons: you may not be in your assignor's officiating group yet for this event, your phone number on file might be out of date, or the request may have gone out before you were added. Contact your assignor directly to check; they can fix a wrong phone number or email themselves and resend to you specifically, without re-texting everyone else.

I typed something and Teddy asked me to repeat it.

This happens when your reply is genuinely ambiguous, for example a bare "yes" with nothing else, sent completely out of the blue rather than as a reply in an ongoing conversation. Try including a bit more, which day, or what you meant, and Teddy will pick it up.

I replied "yes" to confirm my availability, but Teddy asked again.

Try "yes that's right" or "correct"; Teddy understands natural phrasing, not just the exact word "YES."

I accepted my assignments by mistake / need to decline after accepting.

Text your assignor directly; they can update your status and adjust the schedule from their side.

The check-in link says my location doesn't match.

Check-in requires your phone's location services to be on and to actually be at the venue. If you're on-site and it's still not working, text Teddy directly and describe the issue, or contact your assignor.

I want to stop receiving texts.

Reply STOP at any time. Reply START to turn them back on. Note that opting out means you won't receive availability requests, assignments, or check-in reminders; talk to your assignor first if you're just trying to reduce reminders, not opt out entirely.
