How does Team & Permissions work?

Team & Permissions (Account → Team & Permissions) replaces the old "My Users" tab. Instead of assigning someone a single role, you control exactly what each person on your team can do, individually, and separately, what they're told about by text.

Where:

Account → Team & Permissions.

The two axes

Every person on your team has two independent settings:

  1. Permissions, what they can do. A checklist of specific actions across Events, Roster & Staff, Coaches, Officials, Event Staff, Money/Messaging/Marketing, and Account. Nothing is granted by default; you check off exactly what each person needs.
  2. Notifications, what they're told about. A separate list of categories (day-of check-in status, weekly staffing summaries, cancellations & declines, offer acceptances, transfer requests, post-event survey summaries, and staffing-gap escalations). Someone can be notified about something without being able to act on it, or vice versa.

Org Admin

Toggling someone as Org Admin passes every permission check automatically; you don't need to individually check every box for your core team. Reserve it for people who should have full access to everything.

Presets

If your organization has repeatable roles (e.g., "Front Office," "Assistant Coach"), you can save a preset, a starting permission/notification combination. Presets are only ever applied at the moment you add or bulk-upload someone; changing a preset later never changes anyone who was already set up with it. Think of presets as a shortcut for setup, not an ongoing role assignment.

Active vs. Remove

Every person's access status is either Active or Remove access. Setting someone to "Remove access" isn't just a label; it immediately clears every permission they had and blocks them from every gated action, even if you'd previously given them broad access. See A-08.

Good to know

  • TD Jobs stays on its own separate access system; nothing in Team & Permissions changes who can use it.
  • Ready to add someone? See A-05. To fine-tune one person's access, see A-06.
