How is my event's timezone set?

Automatically, from your venue's address. Edit Event uses the first complex with a full address (street, city and state). You'll see it under the times on Edit this event: "Detected event timezone".

To set or fix it

Events → select the event → Actions ▾ → Edit this event.
In Location & complexes, make sure Complex 1 has a street address, city and state.
Click Save event. The detected timezone updates right after the save.

Good to know

All times you enter (start, end, arrival, shifts) are in the event's local time. Check-in and check-out texts go out on that local time.
"Not yet detected" means no complex has a full address yet. Until then, times are treated as Eastern.
When you add an event, you pick a timezone on the form. Once a full address is saved on Edit this event, the address decides.
