Can I pay someone today?
No. Same-day and next-day pay aren't available. The earliest pay date is about three business days out. Your business also has to be verified first. See PR-13.
When I run payroll, is my bank debited once or once per person?
Once. About two business days before the pay date, one total amount for the whole run comes out of your funding account. Make sure the account can cover the full run. See PR-08.
Does Tourney Direct hold my money?
No. Pay comes from your own bank account and goes to your people by direct deposit.
Can Tourney Direct tell me if a worker should be 1099 or W-2, or how to fill out a W-4?
No. You decide each person's classification; the Employees & Contractors page links to a 5-question tool if you're unsure. For tax questions, ask your accountant or tax advisor. See PR-02.
Who can approve a payroll?
Once approvers are saved on the Organization page, only those people can approve, and either one can. If none are saved, anyone with payroll access can approve. See PR-03.
Where do my staff log in?
They don't. Everything for staff happens by text and secure link. There's no worker portal or online pay stub; Teddy texts them each time they're paid. See PR-09.
