Go to Messages → Compose, click Choose recipients…, pick an officiating group or an event, and click Use these recipients. Add a subject and your message, click Send test email to check it, then click Send email and Continue. Messages sends email only; for a text, ask Teddy on your event page.
Where:Left sidebar → Messages → Compose.
Steps
- Click Choose recipients…. Use Officiating group for officials, or Event Staff (Day-of Staff & Coaches) for anyone at one event. See M-03.
- Check the count and click Use these recipients. Click View N recipients to see the names.
- Add a Subject and write in Email body. Click Help me write this to have Teddy draft it, or + Insert Event Details link to link your event page.
- Optional: Add files (15 MB per file, about 18 MB in total) or Add Cc.
- Click Send test email. It arrives in your inbox with "[TEST]" in the subject.
- Click Send email, then Continue. You'll see "Sent to N recipients." (plus how many failed, if any).
Good to know
- Type {{first_name}} and each person sees their own first name. If we don't have one, it reads "there".
- People who've turned off organizer emails, or blocked your organization, are skipped. The confirmation says how many. See M-06.
- It comes from your name, and replies go to your own inbox. See M-05.
- To see who opened it, open Activity. See M-04.
- For texts, ask Teddy on your event page, for example "Text all checked-in coaches that lunch is at noon." He shows a Confirm button before anything is sent. See H-03.
