Team Fundraisers

Team Fundraisers lets a club, school or college team work your event and earn money for its program. You schedule, text and check in the players on Event Staff like anyone else, but their pay goes to the team as one total instead of to each player. After the event, you pay the team and record the payment on Team Fundraisers.

On Team Fundraisers, click Add a team, enter the team's name and type, add a contact if you have one, and click Save team. You only add a team once, then use it at any event.

On Event Staff, switch to the Pay view, select the players, and click Pay to team in the orange bar. Pick the team and click Move to the team. Their Pay buttons go away, and what they earn adds up for the team instead.

A team's total is what each of its players earned at their normal rate and hours, counting only players who checked in. No-shows count as $0. If you agreed on a set amount with the team, click Adjust and save a flat amount instead.

Pay the team your usual way, then on Team Fundraisers click Record payment on the team's row. Enter the amount, the date you paid, and how you paid, then click Record payment. No money moves in Tourney Direct. This keeps your records in one place.

Paying teams directly from Tourney Direct is built, and we're removing one step before we turn it on. Today, the first payment to anyone through our payment process files a state "new hire" report. For a team, that report would list the person who set up the team's account, like a booster club treasurer, as your new hire. An organization isn't a new hire, so we're removing the new hire step for team payments. We'll let you know as soon as it's live.

Not for the same event. At each event, a worker is either paid individually or counted toward a team, never both. At a different event, the same person can be paid either way.

Every recorded team payment is on Team Fundraisers → History, with the date paid, team, event, how you paid and the amount. Click Export CSV to download all of your team payouts for your records.
